Merry Christmas

Is it just me or does it seem like Christmas flew by this year? Oh well, at least I got to capture a few tidbits of my xmas holiday, compliments of my sister Jessica.

En route to starbucks with my sisters for quick coffee run before the familial festivities began. My blackberry = my life.
Necklace: Tiffanys ~ gifted from my mother for xmas this year

I hope everyone had a mij-tastic holiday weekend with great food, family, and friends.

I know I did :)

Urth Caffe

After moving back home after finishing my undergrad at UCI, one of the things I miss most about living in Irvine is my old roomie/other half/snookies- aka, Jennifer :) Luckily, we were both able to make it out to LA for a luncheon before our xmas weekends began.

I give you Urth Caffe.

So pretty.
Tasty-but painful. The bread was a little too toasted on top and it scraped the roof of my mouth :(
Jennifer!
Don't you love her fab Chloe bag and killer shoes?
I can never say no to plaid-I got this little number while I was in NY at Uniqlo
Until next time, we bid you adieu rockin' black ankle booties and lace up heels
 Happy Christmas Eve everybody!

New York.

After 6 days in the city that does not sleep, aka New York, I'm backkkk! Despite the 20 degree weather + winds and puzzling subway stations, I somehow made it out alive. Perhaps it was all the good food, sites, and people that I met while I was there.

 Day 1
Just landed! (Though I may be smiling on the outside, I was really dying on the inside from the cold)
Times Square.
 Day 2
Out and about @ Wall Street
Ferrera Cafe- my very first cannoli!
Shopping-as always :)
@ Red Bar for drinks
Day 3
Bryant Park.
Because who doesn't love a ginormous toy store?
Pretty window displays @ Bergdorf Goodman
And Saks 5th Avenue
Day 4
It's like the steps from Carrie's apartment in Sex and the City!
Central Park

The view from 230 Fifth rooftop bar.
Day 6
Too pooped to take any pictures of anything else on my last day-so here's a cup o' joe to wrap up the day.
Until next time, bye bye New York.

Packing and Pumpkin Bread

I had a little extra time on my hands this week and decided to take another stab at baking. My first coffee cake was a success so I branched out a little and baked my very first loaf of pumpkin bread.

Ta da!
I intend on taking a slice or two on my plane ride tomorrow. After much planning and preparation, my long awaited winter vacay is finally here :)

NYC here I come!
Packing has never been an easy thing for me...as I often wish to take my closet and shoe rack with me.
I have a strange feeling I'll be up until the wee hours of the morning packing-then unpacking-then repacking.

Until next time, Sammy and I bid you adieu from my scarf drawer.
Be back in 1 week!

So it's like Aladin with an R?

Another coffee date with Sharon means another night of pastries and lattes.
Roladin Cafe for a little R&R.

Round 1: Fruit tart & cheesecake minis.
Round 2: Rasberry puff pastry & creme brulee.
Lattes and macchiatos.
Afterwards-me patiently waiting for Sharon to burn me some good music.
Until next time, we bid you adieu rockin' knee high and combat boots.

Coral Tree Cafe

After x amount of failed attempts of map questing this particular destination on our smart phones, my friend Sharon and I encountered three u-turns, multiple "where are we"s, and an unintentional McDonald's drive thru while circling the streets of the valley before we finally reached our coffee spot of the night. What better place to unwind than Coral Tree Cafe.

Table for two please.
Indulgences of the night: one red velvet cupcake (para mi) and a slice of pumpkin pie (para tu).
A sun-themed banana latte for Sharon. An odd choice that upon tasting she described as being..."bearable."
And a cat-themed caramel latte for myself. Yaaaam!

I always find it such a waste to ruin the pretty design that the barista took the time to make, so I tried my best to sip around it.
Until next time, we bid you farewell rocking some simple flats and studded boots.

Coffee nights with Sharon are always a must.
Lattes + pastries + good conversation = satisfaction.

This is Me(j)

Being an avid follower of fashion, I think it's safe to say that I spend a good portion of my time scrolling, clicking, and admiring the blogs of fashionistas, interior designers, and fellow friends who have joined the world of blogging. After weeks of contemplating whether or not I should hop on this cyber bandwagon, I finally decided to scoop up the little tidbits of my life so I could share them with you (whoever you may be). So, without further adieu, here's my life in a nutshell.

I'm the youngest of 3 girls.
I am ridiculously obsessed with my maltipoo Toby (but with a face like that, who wouldn't be?)
I got my edumacation from UCI and am currently pursuing a career in nursing.
I enjoy coffee + friends + magazines in random aisles of bookstores.
I love the snow.
But conversely, also love the sun.
And I hope to one day acquire a shoe collection that mirrors that of Kimora, Rachel, Jessica, Paula, Mariah, and Eva (or all 6 combined wouldn't be too bad either)

But, I'm not quite sure when that will happen, so until that faithful day arrives, I'll continue to pursue my dreams, spend time with fabulous friends + family and keep you posted with all the adventures I encounter along the way.
